The Tesla Hardware Problem
Why Tesla hardware won't solve the plug-and-charge problem if you're not in a Tesla.
There has been a lot printed in the press and social media recently about the move by other charge point operators to the Tesla charging standard. In the US this has manifested itself as the vehicle OEMs adding the Tesla NAC standard to their cars.
Elsewhere in the world, it has manifested itself as CPOs buying large volumes of Tesla Supercharger units.
The consensus seems to be that this will provide a Tesla-like experience and that Elon Musk is the second coming of Henry Ford and will revolutionise electric vehicle charging for everybody.
